Wife comes home last night, how was your day dear i ask. Busy very busy wife says, i had to take all the childrens temperatures, why not get a teacher do it? First day i do it myself, let teachers see how it should be done, tomorrow a teacher will do. Who took your temperature, i ask, nobody, who took teachers temperatures, nobody, was the answer. Hello woman, everybody should be checked, anybody/ everybody coming in the school gate should be checked. 6 1
Popular Post Somtamnication
Chill, this is Thailand. Do the best you can while AT HOME. My son comes home, washes his hands, gives his masks to mom to wash and he will survive. He has a bottle of alcohol, dettol wipes in his bag. Not much else you can do, mate. 11
Popular Post bluesofa
Perhaps the instructions for the school staff were written by our own health minister A-nut-in here. His arrogant attitude in recent photos show him and his staff not wearing face masks, which seem to indicate that only plebs need monitoring. 7 1
cooked
Further moaning: our lass had little contact with the school during this time, occasional homework being issued, which will likely never be checked. ONE message she got was that school starts on 1 July. Right, got it, managed to sneak in a quick trip just before that date. 30 June, 7 pm: she gets a message saying that she starts on 8 of B****** July. I'm not sure that changing schools will do any good.

I think you missed the point of my post. Why make a fuss making sure the childrens temperatures are taken , but not the teachers? A teacher can get and pass the virus, just the same as a child.

Popular Post Rookiescot
Yeah absolute pandemonium at my daughters school as well. Everyone has to drop their kid off at a single gate. Traffic jam takes up an entire lane of a busy road with a half K tailback. Of course you get the usual hiso who thinks he does not have to queue and drives right to the front and then tries to force his way into the line of traffic. This means both lanes are now closed. 5

Do you think Thailand do good job control covid? I think it finished already in Thailand. But must be careful, wear mask, hand gel, temperature etc. I hope that. Not want to be same before again. Terrible. 1
Popular Post Trujillo
I get a kick out of plastic panels on desks and in front of counters. Does anyone understand even the basics of fluid dynamics (specifically aerodynamics)? Remarkable display of mass hysteria. 6 2
Popular Post Logosone
Why worry, all the children are wearing masks! Plus there are plastic dividers on the desk! With Thai genius like this no need to worry, no need to test 99% of the population. All under control. Lol. 2

Yes there is that plus the fact they are packing 50 students in the back of a pick-up to and from school? 2

What did the school director say when confronted about it? I guess this is the result of buying job positions instead of appointing the most qualified person.

Also she did not buy her position, she got it on merit alone, as any member who has been on here a while knows. So your vile comment about buying the position is not appreciated. 1

holy cow cm
Yeah agree. A director should not be doing the menial tasks except for leading by example once. All should have their temps taken. One for all and all for one. This new normal is not appreciated one bit coming from China. China is always giving something for free that ends up being a ball and chain. Popular Post samsensam
the only surprising thing is that the OP is surprised, when you've been here longer you will see that much of what is done is for outward appearance rather than any determined effort to solve a problem; security checks in shopping malls/bts/mrt, unqualified, unexperienced white faces in classrooms, etc etc. you have to manage your expectations, at least they are taking some temperatures.
Popular Post natway09
Hate to say it, but the kids & teachers should be OK at present same as bars but I dread the day when Thailand proudly announces that 2,000 Chinese, Koreans, whatever are allowed in per day without quarantine. Then worry 4

Is the school directer related to you? You seam a bit defensive. However it's the directors job to take care of these oversights not individual teachers or students. No big thing. Tell her in your most diplomatic manner to get it taken care of tomorrow.
