'Not following social distancing'

What's the point now?

BTS has just eliminated social distancing seat spacing in their carriages to increase passenger capacity after schools and colleges reopened.

Why can't businesses do the same?

Thais are doing a lot better than north Americans are.

Thank god they are because if they had the Freedom and population of North Americans or U.S. which you really mean Thais and everyone living here regardless of race would be in big trouble. As they start to open up to save their economy by allowing foreigners to come in even with the restrictions the numbers will grow this will be their second tier because they need the tourist without a vaccine it is a given the number will increase.

The question will they be as lucky the second time around because they have not really done anything medically to really handle the growing numbers if it does come. Their only plan is to shut everything down and blame foreigners thus not requiring any testing when the wave comes where do you get tested outside of Bangkok?

China 401-15-20L 700W-1200W Dry Vacuum Cleaner with Wheels - China ...

That is a suck job, not a <deleted>. For a <deleted>, you stick the hose in the other orifice, on the top.

It's quite a good idea to empty the thing and clean the filter before you go, otherwise you could end up with a lot of stuff going where you wouldn't really want it!

Of course not. There's no Covid in Thailand, so it must be the dastardly foreigners importing it.

bluesofa, yes, this is what I dread when the doors open to arrivals and if they bring it in the doors will close 14 + 1 days later.

Thai media 77kaoded reported from Walking Street last night on the first day of reopening of the bars and club.

Reminds me of a song long ago: Sung by Risque: The girls are back in town..

lyrics seem to still be applicable.

Hey, it's news now, main attraction
We're back
Tell the boys now we want passion
We're back
I have been waiting for a long, long time
Girls are back in town
Searching for a man for some wild affection
Girls are back in town
Hurry to me if you long for passion
Hurry up now, we're impatient
We're back
Longing for some satisfaction
We're back

Perhaps the Media should go and look at any chosen East Pattaya  street market  to see at least  80% of Thai's not wearing masks..

Let them choose the one near me where masks are being worn, they have limited entry to a single point and try to get people to move in particular directions. Effort is being made some places, if one wants to see rule breakers, look to the West and their damning rates of death and infections.

The media had little to say except that foreigners were not following the social distancing rules at all well.

Did the media have anything to say about the Thai females who are standing to the left of the picture and the group in the centre of the picture who are not following the same rules/laws?  Probably not because that would not be newsworthy.

'nuf sed.

If you want a society to work, forget social distancing.

Life will get back to normal within a year,  some people will get sick and die, but that's life. If you are not willing to "gamble", stay home.

You are both Americans but are actually doing well by keeping the others out!

That's an insult and couldn't be further from the truth. Hopefully the border are closed for a long time.

In Jan and Feb 2020,  Thailand as well as most countries know little about the virus and prevention.

Did very little at the time,  Thailand could have got into big trouble and DID NOT.  Did not see mass spread of coughing, sickness and death.

So much more is known about COVID-19 into the second half of year now.

I lean on the optimist as for opening up in months ahead.

not many people on walking street but can change the name actually not a walking street but a more suitable normal road full of car, motorbikes and street vendors. Better go to boakao in the night
