Why does the Prime Minister of Thailand who is retired from the military continue to wear military uniform (especially when issuing directives)?

What are you on about? Military uniform?

The only uniform you see Prayut wearing these days is a civil service uniform, same as every other civil servant in the country wears.

Legalise cannabis and have it available akin to Amsterdam
Legalise prostitution as well, both of these go on anyway, so why not regulate them and make them both better and safer for Thais and tourists?
Abolish dual pricing
Ensure immigration are 10x more friendly than they are now to tourists and arrivals
Stop trying to fleece foreigners for every penny
Clean up the country, it's a tip
Make the roads safer and stop trying to compete for the top spot of worlds deadliest roads
Lower pollution from vehicles and from burning
Maintain clean beaches
Devalue the baht
Have a transparent government
And remove 90day reporting for expats.

Do this and you may have a chance, sir

One thing they could do is stop the ridiculous practice of teaching Thai children from an extremely early age that they are the world,s most superior people, and that Farangs are not even human beings ! Such a level of arrogance from a race of people who are among the most ignorant and poorly educated in the world does not provide a suitable basis for good relations between asians and westerners. Unfortunately children only a few years old believe everything they are taught, not having developed the ability to tell fact from fiction ????

Pretty much none of that refers to the OP, which is the economy.

eg. They cant devalue the baht which has been explained 99 times.

It's a Thailand issued civilian service uniform made in Samat Prakarn Thailand.

He rarely wears his military uniform and if he does it's usually at a Military parade or special request.

Thailands economy rests in Khun Prayut Chan O Cha's hands, he is the one who will use his strategy and inspired persona to get Thailand back up and running. Khun Prayut Chan O Cha is praised by Thailand and it's people for his dedication and experience as needed to get things done.

This PM Khun Prayut Chan O Cha has done more work in implementing projects all over Thailand such as roads, rail, sea ports, BTS extensions, MRT extensions, infrastructure in development and many more attributes ... than the previous government ( fugitives ) tried to do in the last 10 years.

He has really fast tracked dozens of projects to create jobs .... jobs ..... jobs  and if anyone, anyone on TV cannot see that then they need to put on their glasses and take a drive around Thailand as I know what was in place 10 years ago and what is there now.

that's not very good ....  lol .. he is doing a great job for Thailand as deep down we all know.

Look how he controlled the virus ?  has Thailand ended up like Victoria or Italy or Brazil ?

Farang don't understand Thai politics and that's why Thailand must have someone to control and manage the government correctly ..... otherwise you end up with a yingluck   ... lol

All of those things will in turn boost the economy, which is heavily driven by tourism. Without tourism Thailand burns

stop giving vague directions to immigration that are open to interpretation.

Just set the rules then everyone knows. No surprises.

Also get rid of that stupid 2 land border crossings per year rule so that us living in malaysia can go for an easy long weekend there 6 or 7 times a year. Surely that rule is for those long term in thailand, not for genuine tourists from malaysia.

But it is a vital part of them complete with all the bling they have, and must be spotless at the time of wearing, and then off to the cleaners for a dry clean and sealed bag until the next time.

He has done such a great job making sure that millions of Thais are jobless, scratching around for food and money to pay the bills, rent etc.

Are you sure that he controlled Covid 19 or are you relying on the figures that the government has put out? Low figures mean few people were tested and yes, according to the government Thailand has gone 38 days without any local cases. The only people that have the virus are some Thais returning from overseas where perhaps 5 or 6 may? be infected. If they were, why was it not detected during their pre flight checks in the countries that they flew from?

quote "Farang don't understand Thai politics and that's why Thailand must have someone to control and manage the government correctly ..... otherwise you end up with a yingluck   ... lol".

But YOU are a farang also, so how come you know so much about Thai politics and the rest of us don't?

You got the bit about control right, but manage? I think you got wrong.

Up here in rural Khampaeng Phet the Thais that I know and speak to detest the army and the government and would welcome both Yingluck or Thaksin back into power.

Back in 2014 when the army coup will never happen as promised by Prayuth, actually did happen. He also promised an end to corruption, reform of the RTP and to bring happiness and reconciliation back to the Thai people.

None of them seem to have worked out that well, have they?

Thank you Khun Prayut Chan O Cha for your exceptional work and efforts in getting Thailands economy back up and running again. Tourism obviously needs a good kick start to ensure jobs growth and pre-covid19 conditions are returned. Let's hope there are good strategic paths put in place that will assist folks & businesses in getting up again.

Khun Prayut will win this war against COVID-19 and reboot Thailand and it's economy as needed.

Tourism makes up a huge percentage of the economy why not start by removing the ridiculous rules making it more difficult to travel to Thailand introduced this week!

Tourism GDP is a lot less than you imagine

International tourism, 11.4% of GDP.

Domestic tourism, 6.5% of GDP.

Thai overseas tourism, 18% of GDP
