PM defers security council meeting for discussions with economic team

A meeting of the National Security Council scheduled for Friday (July 10) has been postponed so that Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha can meet with his team of economic advisers.

 

The economic ministers are due to meet the PM on Friday to discuss the latest economic situation and measures to support small and medium-sized enterprises.

 

A report said that the prime minister will discuss the guidelines for helping the economy recover from Covid-19 impact. The meeting is scheduled for 10.30am.

 

The economic advisers set up under the Prime Minister’s order include Dissatat Hotrakit, Boontuck Wangcharoen, Piti Tanthakasem, Phairin Chuchottaworn, Sethaput Suthiwart-Narueput and Supattanapong Punmeechaow.

Get rid of the state of emergency, and let businesses open during normal hours, not shut 2-5 and close at midnight, that's Draconian !

Another wise decision by the People’s General…always thinking of the big picture.

 

It’s quite clear in these trying times that the economic prosperity of Thailand is paramount. And this can only be achieved with the Great Hero Helmsman-for-Life skillfully guiding the nation to a dazzlingly bright economic future of everlasting happiness.

 

Besides....the economic team meetings always have yummy Krispy Kreme donuts… while the boring thugs with the Security Council only have those crappy Chinese biscuits that taste like sawdust.
