Police in Udon Thani were called after a dog called "Choke" (Lucky) found 4,000 meth pills or Ya Ba by the side of the road. Adul, 50, the owner of a duck restaurant on the Mitraphap Highway between Udon and Nong Khai in Thailand's north east, said he was tidying up when he noticed 20 blue and pink bags scattered about the front and back of his property. Six month old Lucky had found them stashed by a lamppost out front and there were teeth marks on the bags. He feared that the playful dog might have swallowed some but not surprisingly Lucky was keeping schtum. He was always finding things in the road and putting them in his mouth, said Adul. Pol Capt Preecha Kangkhonnork reckoned that a drugs gang had put the Ya Ba in the undergrowth for later collection and delivery.
