A young student at Lampang’s Chumchonbanmai School succumbed to injuries on Monday (July 13) after being electrocuted by a high-voltage Internet connection box that had been installed in the campus by government authorities.

Though police arrived as soon as they were notified of the accident, they were unable to save the eight-year-old boy.

His body was sent to Lampang Hospital for autopsy and doctors confirmed he had died from electrocution.

The boy’s parents are demanding that the school take responsibility for the incident and investigate the real reason behind their son’s death.

What were the teachers doing in the meantime before the police arrived I wonder?

Surely they should be trying CPR.

Is this the initial shock, or do they think there's something else happened?

Having taught a few years in government high schools...safety protocols don't really exist. Kids routinely recruited to get on ladders to clear debris off the roof, Exposed cables , Pesticide spraying in the schools during in session persiods with kids walking thru the spray....I kid you not

That's because most of the teachers have the IQ and competence at teaching,  of a squirrel.

Wondering why they can't log-in into TikTok and Fatebuk, I'd imagine.

Really....perhaps you can post their test scores here

so you are defending the standard of village teaching are you?  If you are, then that's an interesting view, considering where Thailand stands in the World of education.

Still they dont get it. Why would you ground the installation? Cant see the bottom of the installation.

But never the less then the resistance is too high and the boy too low. If it is grounded, they did wrong , false safety again.

Placed at wrong spot, too open for everybody. Why not use a non metal box. OK , its Thailand still not aware of the danger of electricity.

Or why would you use an RCBO? It could already have been switched off before the accident.

Boy could have been alive.

If you dont know how to do CPR then you cant do it. How many Thai people, or in any other country, know how to do it right?
