Seriously very happy for you! Glad you got through that, and it worked out. Sometimes that is what you have to do - remain calm and carry on.

It's by no means worked out yet. I will most likely post an update tomorrow, I hope it will be good news, but am by no means counting on it. Thanks for your support.

Which friendly police office did you have the foresight to report your address?

I think it needs to be done at the local police station. For me it was Klong Tan, and yes, they were quite approachable.

Reporting of address at police stations was available years ago.

However your stating you did that so ok.

New to me in recent years.

I'm happy for you if what you state is true.

For some reason sounds fairytale

It's in my experience a fairly quick and painless procedure, I have done the same upcountry to renew my driving license, after being denied in Bangkok.

You did what last March. Report exactly what? What does up country mean. You need report address to wherever imm office you deal with.  That will not be police station.

If your eg Udon Thani then state that.

It will not be cop shop. Nonsense thread.

Foreigner addy-reporting could be done at police-stations previously - he said his apt-manager came with to do it.  Maybe they still process them in areas w/o an immigration office close by.  The apt-mgr could have done a TM-30 on line, instead - but glad he got something.
