The snake catchers of Poh Teck Tung were called after 38 year old Suphanee and her four year old daughter had an unnerving experience.

Mum had sent her child into the kitchen to get an extension cord for the fan.

The child came running back to say there was a snake coiled up. The little girl nearly mistook the snake for the cord and picked it up.

It was a one meter long baby cobra - still capable of a nasty bite said the experts.

The serpent was soon in custody after being found under some kitchen appliances.

It was released back into the woods far from the house in Tha Yang sub-district of Nakhon Sri Thammarat in southern Thailand.

"A baby cobra 1 metre long, still capable of a nasty bite" ??? We had a hatching of baby cobras on our base camp, they were all over the place, around several inches long, perfect replicas of parents, and capable of killing a human even when that tiny ????
