So the Brexit shambles and the damage being done to the country is the fault of remainers?

Even for you Vogie thats twisted logic on an industrial scale.

That "leave government" is now polling neck and neck with the Labour party having thrown away a 26 point lead.

Where is the oven ready deal Johnson was claiming he had?

The rest of your post is something about cake but its pretty much word salad so I bother with it.

Au contraire, it is not rocket science to know that if the remainers had voted for something they would not have got something else, you can't have your cake and eat it you know.

Let that be a lesson to all remainers, you snooze......you lose.

Is he trying to imitate Churchill? The man who regrets not being at Dunkirk or was it the beaches of Normandy? If he really wants to be a soldier Nigel could head for Iraq and fight the remnants of ISIS.

Just now, Rookiescot said:

So the choice was between leaving or leaving and you think the remainers should have voted for leave?

Aye OK.

The referendum was the choice of leaving or remaining in the EU, the country voted to leave, now in a democracy we had to leave, it is that simple.

You had a choice of the way we left and you chose to ignore the one foot in the EUs door offer, your fault, nobody else to blame. You had the choice to hang on to one of Barniers shirt tails but that wasn't good enough, you wanted the full shirt, now your chickens are coming home to roost, cluck cluck.

Not sure Churchill would be one of his roll models.

Sir Oswald Mosley might be though.

Your suffering is about to begin. Once again get it right regarding the electorate. Only 37% voted to leave, a minority of the electorate.

Oh, that ol' chestnut, don't you realise even governments get into power with low percentages.

But, lets assume those who didn't vote didn't care one way or the other, so divide that number by 2 and add that figure to remain and leave then you tell me who won, remain or leave....????

Those wanting Brexit were, for obvious reasons, much more motivated to vote, so of those who did not, a large percentage would likely have voted to retain the staus quo - which is why, for such a monumental change, there should have been a much higher hurdle than 50% plus 1 for Brexit to win the day.

To think that the EU represents the 'status quo' is delusional - look how it has mutated since 1975. Think it won't mutate further?

With reference to referenda rules, why change them for the one you just lost? There was no referendum at all before we joined the EEC, anyway.

Personal attacks now, nice.

Steady on now Vogie, personal attacks in this forum means if one member makes derogatory remarks about another. Everyone, on all sides, attacks public figures that they don't agree with or dislike, that's obviously different.
