The anti Vax movement - more properly called the pro death movement - goes on about heavy metals. There are a some in our body already, basic chemistry will help you understand the difference in the way elements and compounds behave. Sodium is poisonous to us, common salt - Sodium chloride is essential in modest amounts. Vaccines - though they have saved over a billion lives - can be dangerous to those with compromised immune systems, inevitably some are given to people who don't declare, or know they have this condition. Very occasionally someone has an unanticipated reaction to a vaccine that is safe for everyone else. Would you rather have Smallpox, polio, diphtheria, measles etc etc. or take this statistically tiny risk.
