Do you realize herd immunity and vaccines use the same principle right?

You sure about that? assuming there ever is a vaccine, we are still waiting for the HIV vaccine for example!

LOTS of people have reactions to vaccines, pumping aborted fetus and heavy metals into your body is not without it's hazards.

Not convinced? so far 4.2 Billion USD has been paid out by the US government to people who have had serious reactions, died or been crippled for life.

Claim here if you are one of those people! https://www.hrsa.gov/vaccine-compensation/data/index.html

I believe we don't have an HIV vaccine because it is a moving target, it mutates rapidly.

The anti Vax movement - more properly called the pro death movement - goes on about heavy metals. There are a some in our body already, basic chemistry will help you understand the difference in the way elements and compounds behave. Sodium is poisonous to us, common salt - Sodium chloride is essential in modest amounts.

Vaccines - though they have saved over a billion lives - can be dangerous to those with compromised immune systems, inevitably some are given to people who don't declare, or know they have this condition. Very occasionally someone has an unanticipated reaction to a vaccine that is safe for everyone else. Would you rather have Smallpox, polio, diphtheria, measles etc etc. or take this statistically tiny risk.

The US is an absurdly litigious society, persuade a jury full of non or anti scientific morons that you have suffered, and laugh all the way to the bank.

Admittedly not a nice surprise if you were just about to board your flight home after a lovely couple of weeks in Spain and were faced with two weeks of solitary when you get home.  Many implications for going back to work, school kids etc etc, but at least you can get home and isolate in your own home as opposed to returnee farangs jumping through endless expensive hoops to enter Thailand.  At least you have a choice to take the Thai ASQ method or not, whereas going back to the UK you have hobsons choice.

Exactly, I can't understand the intense wimping going on about people risking a Spanish holiday, and then complaining when they lose the gamble.

Quarantining at home is a luxury, the boredom of being confined in a room in a Bangkok hotel, would by comparison reduce these bold Spanish holidaying heroes to gibbering wreaks.

Agree that it doesn't seem well thought through and seems a measure made in panick. But it is fast

Without a doubt, and now those that thought they could trust the government have to face the consequences.

Message is don’t book a holiday anywhere unless you want to risk 2 weeks unpaid leave or worse when you get back. It’s their intention to carry this on at short notice so could happen anywhere.

Balearics have been added in despite them having very little issues which seems a bit odd.

Pragues excellent. Cheap booze. Decent bars old and new. Loads of lap dancing clubs, not cheap.
