Pattaya Elephant Sanctuary or Village

Hey there, does anyone know if there's a way to get cheaper tickets to Pattaya's elephant sanctuary or village? We are from America and have been here since February. We'd really like to have the elephant experience but each place quoted us between 1900-2500 baht per person. Is there a way to get the full experience without paying 5000 baht for 3 hours of fun? Also, we plan on driving there on our scooter. Would we be able to do that or are the roads bad for scooters going there? Thank you for any information that might help!
