Thanks for the interesting discussion JHicks. I am now going to read that book once more and parse a little less. eg. ถ้าผู้พูดต้องการจะจำกัดความหมายของคำนามสามัญเข้ามาบ้าง  On first reading I questioned จะ and เข้ามาบ้าง But now I can accept them as figures of speech and hope that when I have read the book entirely, I shall find them indispensable.
