"A family driver initially tried to take the blame but was later charged with giving a false statement to police."

What became of this guy and case?  We know the rich are impervious, but how about this employee (just following orders, ya think?)

You would have thought that the case been so high profile that these honest citizens would have gone straight to the police station and told there story. Instead lets wait for 7 years eh!

Even the most challenged can see that it has to be the biggest most stupidest lie going.

On the other hand a proper and prompt professional investigation should have found these folks quickly after the incident, therefore their comments, evidence etc., all quickly in the investigation process and investigation decisions many years ago.

Also, how many committees, investigations, reviews of this matter is the PM going to order, seems like several already in the last few days plus widely varying time frames/deadlines; 3 days, 7 days, 30 days.

This case is a clear example of how to keep the Thais distracted from other matters of interest such as the great economic crisis and the manipulation of power over population. Old history

This is what I just  dont get

If they  wanted to close the case they could have accepted the first story

Now looks like they want to clear but now 1000 times more difficult

The question should be asked did “RedBull” donate monies to the Government when the PM asked for financial help if so how much ? This guy could have been tried in his absence and sentenced if I am correct this has happened to other Thais who now live in exile and are unable to return to the country of there birth so what is the difference between them and him.

I don't think the committee will have to look very far plus if the government are not going to interfere in the case WHAT IS THE POINT ......................!!!

The point is to throw a bone to the people.  The point is to pretend to be doing something when nothing is being done at all.  The point is to drag things out another 30 long days and hope by then the people will have moved on to something else.  If they haven't, another pointless bone will be thrown.  You see this same modus operandi every year with Bangkok pollution, Chiang Mai crop burning, corruption probes, etc., etc.

The Office of the Attorney-General and the national police dropped criminal charges against Vorayuth "Boss" Yoovidhya last month, without providing a reason

The Office of the Attorney-General and police said they were also looking into what led to the case being dropped.

Self-Inspection, a complicated ritual. I think you all need some monks to chant on you.

Most likely buried under several tons of concrete by now at a construction site.  Myanmar concreters saw nothing and say nothing...if they know whats good for them! ????

Time will tell

Cannot eat anything off an empty plate!   The outcome is as predictable as the sun rising in the East tomorrow morning.

what a mess. the best would have been if the driver would have been properly and swiftly been arrested, and convicted with a very mild sentence and a heavy financial compansation for the victims family. Justice would have been served, up to a point, and the driver would already be free since a long time ago without this incident messing up his life forever.

A new Committee is formed to find out WHY the charges were dropped ???

Just pick up the <deleted> phone and ask whoever made that decision.

They can have the answer before beer time today.

Ever tried to get a manager/boss to be responsible for their actions?

Oh, he's not in today.

Oh, you can speak with his assistant

Oh, he doesn't know - he wasn't there. It wasn't his decision.

Anyone remember the bulging pants guy who flipped off the ambulance, but lost all testicular fortitude when it came to apologizing and sent his assistant instead when it went viral? Pretty much the standard fare when it comes to Thai men, their egos, and any semblance of "class" that they can use to shield themselves.

I agree, I was being facetious and sarcastic. Yes the same old facade and show.
