mtls2005 Posted August 3, 2020 Share Posted August 3, 2020 SCB did announce plans to close 200 physical branches in 2018 as part of its three-year plan to cut operating costs by 30% by 2020. Saw reports they closed 50 in 2019, with plans to close 30-40% of their remaining branches (currently ~ 1,200 open) in the coming years. Covid-19 probably acclerated the closure rate? calbts2 Posted August 3, 2020 Share Posted August 3, 2020 It is permanently closed. Very inconvenient for us that use SCB for our extension requirements. They were merged into the branch at the nearby Big C which unfortunately does not open until 10:30am. These 2 other closest branches open at 8:30am - 54 Moo 4, Chulabhorn Research Institute, Kamphaeng Phet 6 Road, Talat Bang Khen, Khet Lak Si, Bangkok, 10210 110/1-4 Pracha Chuen Rd, Thung Song Hong, Lak Si, Bangkok 10210 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
