webfact Posted August 3, 2020 Share Posted August 3, 2020 Chiang Mai video: Myanmar drug mule fleeing police causes mayhem at intersection Picture: Daily News Dramatic CCTV footage from Chiang Mai showed the moment when a car driven by a drug mule from Myanmar plowed through an intersection into two cars and demolished a traffic light. The mule got spooked believing he was being followed then failed to stop for police. He had been taking 300,000 Ya Ba (pills of methamphetamine mixed with caffeine) from Mae Rim to central Chiang Mai. He has admitted being an addict that was paid 2,000 baht and given Ya Ba for transporting the drugs. But what i heard is that the price of this drug is going down (read something in BKK post they wanted to give the police less reward money as the drug was getting cheaper). So not sure what kind of margins are on those kind of transports. But 2000 seems a bit low ball to risk years and years of jail.
