Popular Post saakura
I was just reading a post from a member who goes by the name of Gamini and he mentions that he is 90yrs old. I remember reading posts from him before also. I salute and appreciate that at his age, he is participating and keeping himself informed and mentally active at this age. Is there anyone older than him posting here? 6
swissie
How nice! Since I joined here in 2006 I have seen so many posters "go silent". Probably because they simply have died. Most of them having had "Thai-Families". But the Thai-Families do not find it necessary to post a short notice here "Member xxx has died". Not knowing the password to enter TVF? Hardly. After looking over their shoulders for 10 years, the "Thai-Family" knows the Password(s) of the Farang. Too much trouble, I guess. After all, he was just a Farang. 4

Popular Post Puchaiyank
I suspect if I live to be 90...will be spending more time reading the labels on adult diapers rather than worrying about what Stadler is up to...????

And the whole idea of passwords is to keep them private and secret - you should think about that.

Popular Post Pilotman
Flexible I would say. This morning I feel about 85, sometimes 45, more often than not, around 60, None of those are my actual chronological age. As a wise person once said, its just a number, but he didn't try to heave himself out of bed using my body.

thequietman
I'm 50, but I feel about 103 years old, due to having to put up with the red tape and bureaucracy here. Does that count? ???? 1

allanos
Australian scientists have determined that, according to our DNA, we are genetically pre-programmed to live until around 38 years of age. However, in the modern era, average life expectancy in the Western world is around 70 years plus, although our DNA composition is largely unchanged over thousands of years. The Old Testament bible tells us that man shall live for three score years and ten, that is, until age 70. However, Genesis in the same bible tells us that some of the ancients, Methuselah, for example, lived for hundreds of years (he lived until 969 years of age, so we are told). The Great Flood put paid to such longevity, it is claimed, a kind of a punishment by God. Are we, therefore, somehow being cheated of a longer lifespan, for reasons unknown, or are those of us over 70 (I am 75) actually living on borrowed time, perhaps showing that we can beat the clock if we have above average genes and a reasonably healthy lifestyle? Well done to our 90-year old member and keyboard warrior!
Popular Post Brunolem
Being active at 90, way beyond typing a few posts, is quite common these days. For example, Clint Eastwood is still both acting and directing, Mahatir bin Mohamad was until recently prime minister of Malaysia, and George Soros is still wreaking havoc all over the world... 2
