CCSA to consider reopening schools nationwide

The option of reopening schools across the country will be discussed at the next Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) meeting on Friday (August 7) at which the Education Ministry’s opinion will also be heard, secretary general to the National Security Council General Somsak Roongsita said on Tuesday (August 4).

Cabinet approves new law to unlock medical cannabis industry

The Cabinet approved an amendment to the Narcotic Act allowing registered patients, Thai traditional medicine businesses, and farmers to access medical cannabis, Government Spokesperson Narumon Pinyosinwat said.

ADB loan of Bt48bn will not strain public debt, says govt

The Cabinet on Tuesday (August 4) approved the Finance Ministry’s proposal to borrow US$1.5 billion (Bt48 billion) from the Asian Development Bank. The loan will be used to finance Covid-19 recovery projects, said Rachada Dhnadirek, deputy government spokeswoman.

Migrant labourers will be allowed to work in Thailand for longer

Four-year-old girl, mother have narrow escape in double crash
