So 99% is certainly closer than any lower percentage that you care to produce. Were you to live in New York and travel to Bangkok, would you say you were almost there as you left your house? Exactly. Some WOULD say it then or right after the flight left ( however there are no non stops NYC to BKK) because they have been waiting to go on the trip for a long time. Another would say it at the halfway point , another when there is 4 hours to touchdown , another one hour before and of course you and the other poster would say it in the taxi to hotel or on the elevator just before you get to the hotel room. Spare me the details on how to comprehend the word “almost”. You are wrong or purposely think it means 99% for obvious hateful reasons.

First, he needs no excuse to lie, and second if he was censured every time he lies there would be nothing at all forthcoming from the white house. Actually everyone would benefit from that. At this point every one not a zealot sees his lies and the zealots never will. In that sense it's not worth the effort to expose him. The man is just a skid mark in America's underwear. So you could be wrong or almost right. For some reason on this thread topic your “almost “ as a percentage I’d bet is 99% or something and another persons ( perhaps Trump) is a lower percentage. The fact that you believe what Trump says proves that the censorship is totally justified. Children are not "almost immune": they are asymptomatic while their bodies develop immunity, and they are contagious. Children are not safe and harmless unless you believe the earth is flat. Being immune would mean they never get enough viral load to become contagious, which they don't. Although they rarely develop severe forms of the disease, they seem to be just as effective spreaders as others. Talking about immunity is therefore dangerous misinformation. TallGuyJohninBKK
Trump's losing/lost his ignorant/science ignoring battle to blanket reopen public schools this fall even in areas with high CV outbreaks -- at least in the nation's largest school districts. From Bloomberg today: NYC Is the Last Holdout on In-Person Schooling as Big Districts Defy Trump Quote (Bloomberg) -- New York City is the only major U.S. school system still considering in-person classes this fall, after Chicago rebuffed President Donald Trump’s calls to reopen to avoid further strain on the U.S. economy. Chicago Public Schools will begin the academic year with all-virtual learning, the nation’s third-largest district announced Wednesday, after administrators bowed to pressure from nervous staff and parents. New York City officials say they are still on track to open in September with a hybrid of in-class and remote instruction, though they need approval from Governor Andrew Cuomo, who has said he will make a final decision this week. ... In Chicago alone, the decision affects 355,000 students -- kids whose parents had expected them to be in classrooms starting Sept. 8. Other major school districts that have already opted for virtual instruction for at least the start of the year include Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Miami, Atlanta and Houston. If New York City joins in, that would affect the families of another 1.1 million students. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-08-05/chicago-schools-go-online-with-nyc-as-last-big-system-to-decide

He is completely out of touch, and is a dinosaur. The world has changed and evolved, and that is something he is incapable of. He is cascading toward the most humiliating defeat of his lifetime, and he will likely take a portion of the GOP with him. And that is deserved. JDGRUEN
Children are not "catching" Covid-19 at any appreciable rate comparable to adults... And children are not spreading Covid-19 at any appreciable rate. Children are not - nor have they been the drivers of this disease. This phenomenon has been observed and has been discussed since the beginning of this epidemic. Yes some children do "catch" Covid-19. But the rate of infection of children is very low. I know people of this thread will gag and cough that I have not cited a medical source. The problem is if I cite a source there are some here who will then yell loudly that my source is not correct or good enough - BUT THEIR SOURCE IS. Then on and on and on. But I have noticed that in this thread those who disagree are not citing any source or statistics to prove that children are infected at a rate comparable to adults. The highest rates are over age 64 with serious co-morbidities.
