Manager reported that the Hua Hin Food Festival will showcase the resort's famous dishes from hotels and restaurants in the area this Friday and Saturday starting at 4 pm.

The event takes place down at the beach at the Centara Grand hotel.

It is an annual collaboration between establishments in the area, city hall and the TAT (tourism authority).

Specialties from the area's eateries will range from som tam to BBQ seafood, four regions' dishes and freshly made ice cream.

But the highlight of the festival is set to be the Centara's very own Italian style pizza.

Fair prices and high quality food is promised amid beautiful surroundings.

So why not bring your loved ones and your appetite!

Anyone know where we can park our car as there is virtually nowhere to park in this area unless extremely lucky. Will the Centara allow us to park in the hotel car  park and walk through the hotel to the beach.
last year was in 19 Rai where parking was freely available

I was at this same festival last year and it is a pretty nice time on the beach with food, beer, music, etc. Draws a big crowd. Hua Hin is actually doing quite well (relatively speaking) during this crisis time. Weekends are busy with Thais and farang coming down from Bangkok for a break. My friend's bungalow resort in Cha Am was fully booked for last holiday weekend.

My friend regularly parks in Centara's lot at night when we're out on the town. He just slips the guard some cash and parks unofficiallly. You can park in the Hilton, but it will be expensive.

Yes, you can go to the parking lots.
maybe the guard will ask you where you are going, but he will let you through.
No problem, either, to get to the beach, through the hotel.
Good tastings of pizzas, if they are made with bread dough, without forgetting, tomatoes, anchovies, black olives, thyme and olive oil.
Otherwise, the rest is rubbish.

We went last night  (Friday) and it was extremely busy. So much so, that there were no seats available to sit down and eat any food you could buy. There were a huge amount of people, mainly Thai, just sitting there with bottles of water and no food. We gave up and went to Father Teds. My guess is it'll be even busier tonight when the weekend shift arrives from Bangkok. Go early or take some furniture along with you.

We went tonight and as expected nowhere to park so tried to get into the Centara but was refused access. In typical Thai fashion everyone was parking in the most dangerous spots they could find but generally chaos on the roads in that area. We went back to one of our favourite eateries and had an enjoyable evening. Perhaps next time they will have this function where there is adequate parking and easier access.
