Residents of a village in Phayao face an anxious waiting game after being cut off from the outside world by floods. People in the northern province’s Ban Kanang woke this morning to find the local road had disappeared under two metres of water, leaving them with enough food for only three days.

Several days of heavy rain in Phayao’s Mae Lao subdistrict has turned the area’s main road into a swiftly running torrent two metres deep. Over 300 locals in 109 households have been marooned by the flooding.

Pinsak Chaiwarin, 46, the chief of Moo 10 village where Ban Kanang is located, said the floods have also covered farmers’ fields, damaging crops.

He added that the village had enough food for around three days.

This shouldn't be a problem the Air Force has helicopters they can use to take supplies in if needed .

No! I think they are just for 'General' use.

3 days supply of food!! That shouldn't be a problem. Just eat half you normally eat and the food will last 6 days, and you will lose weight. ????

If food supplies are not available after 6 days, take it as an opportunity to fast, and your health will improve even more. ????
