Claiming that the drinks are imported from Singapore, they offer very lucrative prices. Is this legal to buy from them? Also, any idea if the products are generally good (genuine)? Thanks. thedemon Posted August 8, 2020 Share Posted August 8, 2020 No it isn't legal even though the big online supermarkets seem to get around it. I think there are new laws in the pipeline to crack down on that too. It doesn't make any difference to the tax whether alcohol comes from Singapore or anywhere else unless it is bottled in Thailand. If alcohol is bottled in an ASEAN country the import duty is lower but the excise tax is the same.
