This subject is always a hot potato and just ends up with both sides shouting at each other.  Neither side will convince the other that they are right because neither side will believe that they are wrong.

There will always be those who hate the fact that Britain is a multi-racial country that is compassionate when it comes to asylum seekers and those who wholeheartedly embrace it.  I have a wife from Asia and we live in  Britain with our half caste son.

Ironically this board is full of immigrants to Thailand who have Asian wives or partners and many have their own half caste children.  And they have the nerve to complain about immigrants in their home countries.  Hypocrites! One and all.

Yes but I am white and have money !! .... ???? .....

Now that is fun......might get a Schengen visa next time, fly to France and get a dinghy across the channel ......quicker, cheaper and easier.

and do not forget:

way more scenic than an underwater/ground train or an above clouds aircraft

And now, because we are no longer part of the EU and have taken back control of our borders,  the French want £30 million to help us

guess that demand can be mitigated by offering a cod quota or two

The ‘oldest chestnut’, is the xenophobia that the usual suspects pour out in this topic.

or maybe just the beating of chests and wailing at the moon about how "bad" the vast majority of people{or xenophobes) as yo like to call us people who live in the real world are.

Got to give these migrants their due respect, for years farage and his like

have been exposing the inherent evil of the EU and its member countries.

You can't blame them for taking the perilous journey across the channel

to get to the post Brexit utopia, they have heard about the impending

collapse of the EU and that mainland Europe will resemble Syria as they

couldn't possibly exist without the UK.

Got to be the greatest endorsement of Brexit I've seen yet!

Of course ..,who from a third world country would not cross deserts and sea's  to become living in the future  "Singapore on Thames .... "

Boris is very convincing to simple soles in his rhetoric's …. proven by his election victory of 80 seats ????

Kept out the Germans for two world wars.  Can't keep control of a small white boat.

Why should France protect UK borders?  Cummings (Johnson) orchestrated a 'brexit' to regain 'control' of their borders.  Now is the time to control it by welcoming refugees fleeing countries at war.  Wars that were started by and profiting from by 'The West'.  Time for the west to take responsibility for all the suffering they cave caused for centuries.

Very funny....????

Fleeing countries at war, yes their own countries at war, nobody else's.

The UK has a moat, the cash spongers are trying to cross it from France, it is France with the problem, they should send them back to where they come from....
