Professor Dr. Nop Siriruek Songsivilai, Secretary-General of the National Research Committee, said on Sunday that the inclusion of Thailand in the low risk list is a significant change and welcome news for Thailand. Bangkok is, like Dubai, a hub for travel on and back..bit like the Thai gov quoting the incredible boom in the Chinese tourism. First couple of years .. yeah maybe but now the 'trickle down' effect is firmly in the Chinese hands as opposed to the thai. But the industry is still given the financial pladits but in reality the Thai 'shop floor' isn't getting the money. Same with the 'visitor' stats a huge %visiting Thailand on the way to or back from when really it's just a transit change.. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
cmarshall Posted August 9, 2020 Share Posted August 9, 2020 That's quite impressive for Thailand since of the other six countries on the list, New Zealand has the biggest population.
