geovalin
Prime Minister Hun Sen today called for an adoption of the vaccine as a “global public goods” so that people can access them amid the COVID-19 pandemic. He spoke at a video conference during the Virtual Summit on “Rally of Hope” at South Korea by the Universal Peace Federation under the theme: “Rebuilding and Renewing Our Nations in the Post-COVID-19 World: Interdependence, Mutual Prosperity and Universal Values”. Mr Hun Sen said so far the fight against COVID-19 in all countries has largely concentrated on their own domestic measures. “While the world is awaiting for a breakthrough in vaccine development, Cambodia calls for an adoption of the vaccine as a global public goods which people anywhere and everywhere can access,” he said. He said with the fight against COVID-19 as well as the socio-economic recovery after the pandemic, everyone must work together. read more https://www.khmertimeskh.com/50753139/pm-calls-for-vaccine-access-for-everyone/

Popular Post yellowboat
The science has yet to be concluded. If you want a vaccine, work on your immune system. Millions probably got it, but did not know they had it. If you are overweight, hit the gym, stop eating sugar and maybe even meat. Drinking 2-3 litre's of water a day can help too.
Popular Post terryw
Maybe instead of putting the profits from the 37usd a day Angkor Wat entry fees into his Swiss bank account, he should personally pay for a vaccine dose for every poor person in Cambodia.
brianp0803
Maybe discounts on the vaccine can be given based on the percent of their country GDP they invested in developing a vaccine. I am guessing the country’s effort (snd money) toward developing a vaccine is similar to their effort helping their own people that lost their main source of income due to lockdown policies.

An effective, proven-to-work vaccine, when it becomes available, might already by obsolete by the time it comes to market due to the strains currently doing the rounds mutating as the flu tends to do. So, who is going to pay and accept anything launched onto the market knowing that it's very much a <deleted> shoot as to whether it will protect a person against Covid-19. Or is the thinking that there will be enough "suckers" buying and thus ensuring good ROI for the industry?
