A lone gunman carrying a long gun shrouded in cloth entered the Big C branch in Tha Tako, Nakhon Sawan yesterday and stole 38 baht worth of gold from the Yaowarat Bangkok gold shop.

The haul was worth about 1.1 million baht.

CCTV caught the gunman entering the store. Aged about 40, he was dressed in tight black clothes with cap and mask.

He threw a paper bag at a female staffer and she filled it. He fled shortly thereafter to what is believed to be an Isuzu pick-up that was parked close by.

The vehicle had no plates.

He was traced as going to Phetchabun and Singburi after the robbery.

Nakhon Sawan provincial police chief Pol Maj-Gen Sukkrit Bunsong is in charge of the investigation.

They need at least another 20 coppers in the Gold shop.

Soon they come up with an illegal worker in Thailand. They are always good for blaming.

Anyone remember the old days when shops refused you entry if you WERE wearing a mask?

Now you are refused entry if you AREN'T wearing one.

About time they made gold shops more secure against these kind of robberies.

When he gets caught, they’ll probably prosecute him more heavily than the robbery for not signing the book at the entrance
