Don't know, why you are quoting me, especially because I didn't say anything about masks!

...which (I think) have proven to be quiet helpful!

Also: do yuou know what an "asymptomatic carrier" is?

Yes of course I know, basically everyone in this world is an asymptomatic carrier nowadays.

That's how you keep the circus going.

Believe that would be - y -

"commercial" aircraft are both landing and departing SBIA/BKK. No conundrum, paradox or oxymoron.

Played golf yesterday near the airport and there were a large number of planes taking off, including a TG 777 long haul. Not all were domestic, and not all were freight.

Indeed it is.

Brains of chipmunks....but what do I have against chipmunks?

I think chipmunks are those really believing a virus already spreading everywhere can be completely eradicated from the world by social distancing and face masks.

Waal..the alternative strategies are certainly working well for the UK,the US and Brazil.

Nope..I'm afraid poster "Yinn" is right on this one.Perhaps he/she puts it a little inelegantly at times but she's bang on the money.

Thailand has Covid, they just are not looking for it.

Last week 3 imported cases were found in Japan and Italy from people returning from Thailand.

Of course it has covid-pretty much every country has it.It depends on where you go from there and how you manage it.

However,Thailand (for whatever reason) does seem to be doing a lot better than most and, given the behaviour of quite a few dopes in my own country (a big hello to NSW and Victoria!) where the ferals were unleashed back out to play, you may as well scratch 2020 off the calendar if you expect the skies to suddenly re-open over quite a few countries in the near future.

If you don't look, you don't find it. The countries that look for it, they find it and have larger daily infections, but in Europe at present, the deaths are not rising, just infections.

Approximate time?

Not a lot of TG flights on Tuesday, TG 606, 16:00 departure A333 bound for HKG.

But another 20-ish international departures.

imagine in case of a real strong pandemic... imagine if a war... actually, all of this is because of a little virus who kill 1% of the infected population, and the most lower power ones.

A virus you can not stop because it goes very quick.

crazy panic.

Next step will be to assume a world economic crash and poor population, then more violences everywhere to survive with no money in front of very very very rich people who don't care the poor population, and the COVID to still be there (because all that they do will not erase the COVID).

Very stupid. How can it be so stupid ?

This day is not good, but tomorrow will be a dramatic story time.

They fly cargo in the cabin. Utapao is used for Line training. They keep them current by SIM

The Ramblings of an intellectual person would understand that Covid isolation and sequestration of a country is not political or "Stupidcal".  Countries are closed in order to either contain the virus, and or the Covididiots as some people would say.  The issue at hand is whether to throw all caution to the wind and keep shut down or, throw the baby out with the bath water, and go balls to the walls and just open everything up and let Hundreds of thousands more become infected because of a lack of personal responsibility and an uncaring attitude of so what if Thousands die  they were old and it was there time........Yes very heavy on sarcasm.

There is a middle path.

Disaster, complete disaster. There are only so many Thais who have the funds to staycation, no matter what deduction schemes this govt comes up with.

There is no need for them to stay overseas.  They are free to return to Thailand ... following the process that is used for everyone

I do not blame Thailand for not opening up so easily.

Go look at the infection rates in some countries that have just opened up, and it's crazy. Their economies are in free fall because consumers are lacking confidence to go out, education is effected, and then of course there is the horrendous health problems people are having.

Keep it closed till as such time there is effective treatment and/or vaccine.

If Thailand opens, they will hurt the citizens by infecting them.

One point of call, they must keep their 'hidden' borders monitored. Go look at Vietnam, and how people sneaked in spreading the virus.

@AndrewMciver the next step should be to get all foreigners out. better to be safe than sorry.

I would really like to know where all these numbers come from.

According to Scientists from Universities in Germany and Canada the PCR test does not

show an infection or the virus !!! It actually shows just genetic material which is produced by the body.

The hospitals are empty ...

Still people BELIEVE their very trustworthy Governments ???? or the Media like BBC CNN HSNBC ... The Nation ???? (just to name a few) who have all a really good track record of being fully trustworthy and honest ????????????

Facebook, Twitter, Youtube all censoring any information that says "The VIRUS" is not as dangerous as they say ...

Stupid people wearing stupid masks ... they probably also leave their pants on when they go to the toilet ....

The world is an insane place and gets more insane every day !

Even a 3 year old kid can see through this HOAX !!! ... maybe because the Brainwashing is not that advanced in children,

but with making them wearing masks and being super scared to infect their Grandmas they will be traumatised for life !!!

... what is going on and being done by Governments is plain EVIL !!! And they know it !!!

Here comes brain150 with a brain and welcome to the big awakening! The cabal will be done soon.....

Viral disease outbreaks have always been around...I think the disaster has been how many nations/governments, particularly Western ones, reacted (or failed to react) to it. In countries like China, Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan, and even Italy, where governments acted quickly and decisively, the virus was stopped and life quickly returned to some semblance of normalcy. In countries that dithered, like the U.S. and UK, the virus is still prevelant and life is anything but normal.

@Pattaya Spotter thailand reacted quickly.... they had there first recorded case in december and lockdown was put in place in late march, (they took even longer than the uk.)just as the students started protesting about the government, just a coincidence tho????

I've agreed with Yinn twice in the past week, which is kind of worrying ????. As to your final sentence, there is no way to trust that everyone will follow the rules. Experience around the world has shown that too many lack the patience and intelligence to do so. "Will you obey the rules?" "Yes sir, certainly" doesn't work.

A mask does NOT prevent the spread of CV.

Masks are not air-tight now are they?

Anything not airtight can allow germs to get in.

Imagine a person with CV sneezing in your face!

The mask is not going to save you.

A mask is better than nothing but it will not save you.

Meanwhile countries with a sensible attitude to the virus have mostly open borders and open skies.

Live with the virus - people die all the time.

50 people die on average every day on Thailands roads.......should Thais be banned worldwide from driving motorbikes and cars and lorries ?

UK, USA, Europe.......open skies and borders..........life is going on, economies are recovering.

Cases rise but deaths continue to fall, soon everyone will see................the virus is weak, and only kills the very weak. Just like flu, pneumonia and all the other diseases there are.  Median death age worldwide is over 80 years old.

D.jpg

RR2020, a great post putting the virus into perspective and how to continue which we must for social and economic reasons. Thailand has backed itself into a corner.

Yes, and Thailand closed its borders, the US did not.

Thailand, especially in urban areas, took mask wearing seriously, the U.S. did not.

The Thai govt made the CV something to rightly be feared. The U.S. govt. did not.

And look where Thailand is now... compared to the U.S.  The facts speak for themselves.

Let's say you are wearing a mask and a person with CV sneezes in your face?

Do you get CV or not?

Does the germ all stop at the mask and not get in your eyes, ears, hair, skin?
