stevefb23
Hi all, I'm currently in Bangkok under the amnesty after previously having a multiple non o based on marriage, which has expired, and also have extended that for 60 days which ran out back in April. I have the 400k in the bank which will have been seasoned for 2 months by early September and was wondering does anyone know if a marriage extension can be obtained being on amnesty? I keep hearing conflicting information. Hopefully some of the more knowledgeable members here can help. Cheers.
ubonjoe
You can apply for a one year extension of stay based upon marriage at immigration since you should be considered as still on a non-o visa that was automatically extended under the amnesty. Some odd offices do not consider the automatic extension a extension of your original entry. But I don't think Chaeng Wattana immigration in Bangkok is one of them. All you can do is try do the application when you have the 400k baht in the bank for 2 months.
