BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand's prime minister said on Thursday the economic crisis will not disappear quickly amid the coronavirus pandemic as his new cabinet faces the tough task of reviving an economy expected to shrink by a record this year.

A police panel tasked probing the investigation of the 2012 hit-and-run case against Vorayuth “Boss” Yoovidhya today (August 13) said the case was riddled with flaws from the beginning, while the national police chief ordered Vorayuth should be charged with drug use and speeding.

Songkran compensation days off set for September

At its meeting on Thursday (August 13), the Cabinet unanimously voted to mark Friday September 4 and Monday September 7 as public holidays to compensate for this year’s Songkran holidays that were cancelled due to the Covid-19 outbreak.

(Reuters) - The European Tour said on Thursday it had withdrawn Frenchman Romain Wattel from the Celtic Classic this week as a precaution, after he came in contact with compatriot Alex Levy, who tested positive for COVID-19.

LONDON (Reuters) - Prime Minister Boris Johnson ordered the reopening of the economy in England to resume, saying a rise in infections that prompted caution two weeks ago had now levelled off, but warning of harsher punishment for those who breach the remaining rules.

France to be added to UK quarantine countries
