Sawang Boriboon rescue services were called to the North Pattaya intersection on Sukhumvit Road at 9pm yesterday after a collision between a BMW and a motorcyclist doing a U-turn.

Siam Chon News reported that the rider was lying in a pool of blood and barely breathing.

They were given first aid at the scene then rushed to hospital. No details about identity were given.

Nathanon, 30, was behind the wheel of a black BMW with Bangkok plates. Fifty meters away was a Honda Wave on its side.

Reuang, 57, a motorcycle taxi rider in the area said he had asked someone standing by the road if they wanted a lift but they declined saying they were just about to be picked up.

When he looked up again there had been a collision with the BMW that was going straight and the motorcycle.

Police are studying CCTV to determine what transpired.

The media said this happened on the side of the highway heading towards Sattahip.

I take note of the utterly important piece of journalism : colllision with a BMW. This is the news. Should it have changed something if the car would be a Honda, or any other brand name ???? Wish the motor byke driver a prompt recovery.

If on North Pattaya Road, heading east a U turn on Sukhumvit is illegal

But just join the queue of baht buses doing exactly that. They often impede traffic turning off Sukhumvit. This is also a junction where red +10 seconds means go faster.......

What is the additional value of this in the news report?

100 meter from the location he could ask the same, over and over again.

Interesting that one line of the report states - THE RIDER - single - the next line says - THEY - more than one.  Poor reporting or an attempt to confuse the reader?

Further, what is the relevance of the last portion because all that was needed was the name of the witness?

'nuf sed.
