Just to follow up on this discussion.

Since the Senate Intelligence Committee released it's final version of their Russian Election Interference Report many headlines were screaming about the "grave counterintelligence threat."  Here's one such article.

NPR - Senate Report: Former Trump Aide Paul Manafort Shared Campaign Info With Russia

Here's a snippet from the article:

"Manafort's connection with Kilimnik was a "grave counterintelligence threat," the report reads, adding that it found evidence the Russian intelligence officer may have been linked to the Russian government's efforts to hack and leak Democratic Party emails."

Notice the gravity of the wording in the report regarding Manafort's ties to the "Russian Intelligence officer" Kilimnik.

Now take a look at this New York Times article from Feb. 23, 2019 about Kilimnik:

New York Times - Russian Spy or Hustling Political Operative? The Enigmatic Figure at the Heart of Mueller’s Inquiry

"In Kiev, Mr. Kilimnik became a valued source for the political staff of the United States Embassy, because he did not try to sugarcoat the financial motivations of the oligarchs who funded the political parties for which he worked, said David A. Merkel, who handled Ukraine issues as a deputy assistant secretary of state for President George W. Bush.

“The idea that he is some master spy seems hard to fathom,” said Mr. Merkel, who was Mr. Kilimnik’s boss at one of the pro-democracy groups. “I find it much more likely that these guys were pursuing business interests without regard to core patriotic beliefs.”

LOL.  A valued source for the U.S. Embassy going back to the Bush years with a deputy assistant secretary of state for President George W. Bush as his boss?

The article also mentions that Kilimnik traveled freely in the U.S. and back in May of 2016 met with senior State Department officials.  In the same year he met with the new U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine.  Let me see, who became the new ambassador to Ukraine that year in May . . . OMG, Marie Yovanovitch??

Just to caution anyone who wants to put too much stock into this report.  The report paints Kilimnik as a nefarious Russian Intelligence officer while at the same time he had been a valued asset both during the Bush and Obama presidencies.  So much for the "new Russia/Trump connections," LOL.  But remember, too, despite all of this new nonsense the report concludes no Trump/Russia collusion.  A big, fat, nothing burger.  Folks really need to turn to other sources if they don't want to be completely misinformed about the Russian collusion hoax.

And what other sources might that be, RT?

You'd have to first be interested to become informed before you consider what other sources exist.  I don't think you're interested.

Clinesmith is the first.  Many more bigger fish to follow.

In his own defense, Steve will probably say "Pardon me."

And Trump will.

Imo that depends on trumps exposure to this particular crime or perhaps spilling the beans on other crimes by trump in exchange for a lighter sentence ahhh Donald only the best people ehhh

Steve Bannon charged with fraud over Mexico border wall https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-53853297

Why is it that a lot of his former aids are crooks.... let me think. ????

The four men are indicted for allegedly using hundreds of thousands of dollars donated to an online crowdfunding campaign called We Build the Wall for personal expenses, among other things. Bannon and another defendant, Brian Kolfage

<SNIP>Your post is, IMO, at best a conspiracy theory, and at worst propaganda to support a foreign power ( assuming you are not Russian ).

Your responses are becoming more aligned to trump supporter extremism - obviously you don't have to reply, but I am curious as to why.

The Senate Intelligence Committee (republican chaired and majority) released a lengthy report re: Russian interefence in the 2016 election.

https://www.intelligence.senate.gov/sites/default/files/documents/report_volume5.pdf

966 pages.

It paints a very bleak picture of trump, and his campaign. And pretty much confirms that Russian Intelligence Services (through Konstantin Kilimnik) worked directly with the trump campaign. Even don jr. is implicated, and probably guilty of misleading Congress (like stone).

The report portrayed Carter Page as slippery and said investigating him was ‘justified’

There are many analyses available on line.

That dossier contained an allegation that Russia spied on Trump during a visit to Moscow in November 2013

I'd assume that they did spy on a western businessman, as that is what they do. So what?

It's been known for decades that Russia intelligence service "honeytraps" western business men, so any western businessman would be suspicious of such a situation. I fail to see why a mega rich businessman would pay for prostitutes, when he could get gold diggers for free.

However it says much that so many of a certain political persuasion on here choose to believe that a VDO which has never, to my knowledge, been seen is actually real.

"Alleges" is not proof, and I could allege a lot of things that are not true, should I choose to do so.

Your post is, IMO, at best a conspiracy theory, and at worst propaganda to support a foreign power ( assuming you are not Russian ).

No my post is quoting the Senates report carried out into trump’s links with Russia and how Russia attempted to influence the election.

Deal with it.

Here we go again. In case you haven't been paying attention, Trump and Bannon ain't buddies any more. However, carry on shouting about it if it makes you feel better.

Please quote where I said they were friends.

The fact trump has disowned him and is trying to distance himself from bannon is great news.

Makes it more likely bannon will spill the beans to save his own misbegotten self.
