House owner Phayop, 51, told a rescue foundation that he went into his downstairs loo to sit down and relieve himself.

He felt something brush against his backside and immediately jumped up!

He couldn't see anything but repeated attempts to flush proved fruitless so he shut the lid and retreated.

Enter his wife.

She came in and lifted the lid and there it was - a 1.5 meter long black cobra.

The foundation was called to the house in Soi Kheha Feun Nakhon, Klong 2, Klong Luang.

They had the critter lassoed within ten minutes then returned to nature.

Phayop is a baker with an airline, reported Daily News.

Maybe I am bad, but I would not have returned it to nature.  What if its lot in life is to be a predatory butt muncher? Maybe find its way back into the sewer system.

I would have chopped its head off.

Totally agree.

Kill it and give it to my neighbours who would be over the moon at some free food.

I'm all in on this one, my neighbor is the first one to call if I find a snake on my property, He is always very grateful for the free Snake, Delicious!

I'd suggest snakey goes for some counseling as well as it's not normal behaviour hanging about toilets .. it'll be getting itself a bit of a reputation otherwise ..

why people have to call a foundation for a snake ?

Because that's one of the services that rescue foundations provide.

I assumed you would look in the Yellow Pages under 'snake removal'?
