webfact
Body of Ang Thong woman, 62, found three days after she disappeared By The Nation A 62-year-old woman in Ang Thong province who disappeared for three days was found dead in a field 10 kilometres from her home yesterday (August 19). Siri Sirikul’s body was retrieved by police at around 5.30pm. She was found lying on the ground. She had on a top and a slipper and there was a bag of fertiliser next to her. She appeared to be dead for at least a day because her skin showed signs of rotting. There was reportedly no sign of physical assault. Police believe the cause of her death was a lack of food and water. They sent the body to the Institute of Forensic Medicine for an autopsy. The deceased’s family said Siri suffered from Alzheimer’s disease and usually forgot where she was after a few walks. They had been searching for her since her disappearance on August 16.
