webfact Posted August 25, 2020 Share Posted August 25, 2020 Severe flooding in Sukhothai leads to closure of four schools TNN reported that four schools in Srisamrong district of Sukhothai in Thailand's north had been closed after the Yom River burst its banks. Both sides of the river were inundated with water. And it was only expected to get worse as water flows from further north into Sukhothai. Picture: TNN The Srisamrong kindergarten, as well as Pracha Uthit, Ban Klong Tan and Phung Hua schools were shuttered. Water levels from the local market to the Ban Rai intersection were as high as 1.5 meters, said the media.
