It is not new, it has been open well over a year, a while before Covid. I am not sure how it survives at the prices it charges; a breakfast was in the region of 800 Baht though that was pre-Covid too. It seems bereft of customers whenever I go past; maybe it has patrons who post on here.

These patrons have no interest in travel as such no interest in Thai culture and not much interest in Thai girls. Sitting around watching footie thousands of miles from home is such a weird demographic that its bound to have faultlines. The beer garden is a real loss with its great variety of food, sea views and cheap beer and ladies These "soccer hooligan types", average age approx 60, who also play golf, take their wives in the Retox for a meal, and occasionally join the darts, quiz or pool teams.? Your definition of hooligan differs from mine. And how do you know they have no interest in travel etc.? People stay here for a variety of reasons but mainly for better weather and a better lifestyle, not necessarily to go native and live on somtam, rainwater and Lao khao.

I'm sure 90% of Thai businesses that have been closing down over the last year don't appear on your Pattaya internet feed. As above you are a year out of date and hopelessly out of touch, 1

How many is 'largely', and 'most'? I have talked to a few and some claim to have to pay 3 different lots to 3 different lots of police, and I get an idea nearly all pay to someone... but my sample is small. Whether it is a regular stipend, or a one off hit based on some infringement it would be interesting to know.
