webfact
Don Muang Airport relocates bus stop BANGKOK(NNT) - Don Muang Airport has relocated the bus stop for Airport Bus A1-A4 routes to a new location in front of a passenger terminal, intended to provide more space for waiting passengers and improve traffic flow. Previously located in front of Entrance No.12, the boarding locations for A1-A4 Airport Buses are now located in front of Entrances No.7 and No.8 at the Arrival Hall level of Terminal 1, as well as at a bus station located at the Service Hall north of Terminal 1. The new bus stops will give waiting passengers more space compared to the previous location with only limited space, while helping improve road traffic flow within the airport. The new bus stops allow the buses to immediately exit the airport to Vibhavadi Rangsit road, reducing the transit time. Don Muang Airport’s General Manager, Fg Off Sumpun Kutranon, said today the airport has trialled the new bus boarding locations since 25th August, and has found these new locations to be optimal. Passengers however, need to walk 90 meters further to reach the new bus stops, but will benefit from better facilities inside the air conditioned waiting area. Mr Sumpun said the airport has made preparations for the resumption of international flights, including renovations to the passenger terminal and facilities, and the installation of virus testing stations capable of testing up to 200 samples per day*, with results delivered within 3 hours. -- © Copyright NNT 2020-09-02 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow Thaivisa on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates
Searat7
Usually the buses fill up at International terminal and then take a long time to navigate to Domestic terminal before exiting the airport. The article is not very clear on this unless there will just be one stop now which would be a big mistake.
Bangkok Barry
In other words, they have taken away the ability to catch the bus in Terminal 2 and passengers must now walk to Terminal 1, where large crowds will congregate as they will be waiting there from two terminals instead of just one. Brilliant.
