Maternity Leave

Hi all,

 

I am a teacher at a school here and just want to know the law / facts before I go to my boss. 

 

I am due next April and I am entitled to 45 days paid and 98 days unpaid as far as I can see. The school year finishes end of June but my contract gives me summer pay July. My contract ends end of July and I am not sure if I want to renew. 

 

How can I make sure I get paid the summer? The 98 days would not finish until mid July but I would like to get the summer pay. Would I have to go back for a day or longer before the end of the school year to restart my salary? 

 

Please let me know if you have any information on this topic.
