used to live in that district 15 years ago and I saw just a couple of foreigners there over a 3 year period ( they got off the bus at the wrong stop) - he would stand out big time in most villages there..

It says he's selling (substandard or defective) products, not begging. Saying he needs to make money to get back to his home country is probably just a marketing thing
