The government needs to make Thailand a free smoking country, and sell some high quality weed.

It also needs to allow a micro brewery culture to grow in Thailand.  Decrease tax on foreign goods, especially wine.

Make the immigration system friendly.

These few simple steps would make Thailand a go to destination.  Maybe not for the rich and famous, but it would bring in much needed visitors.

Of course there are many other things that need to be improved-safety being one-

but these moves will cost the government nothing.

To do all that to bring back "Dirty Farang" ?
you have to be kidding ...
Let them just come to Thailand and we will overcharge them and make them pay double for medical services if they have an emergency.
Oh, also we should increase prison time for feeding fish and touching a sea cucumbers.
