(CNN) — A desk with an ocean view, a "dedicated" personal assistant, non-stop refreshments and a complimentary laundry service.

This might read like an over-imaginative wish list from a frustrated remote worker, but a luxury resort in the Maldives has just launched a "Workation Package," with all of these benefits and more.

The Nautilus Maldives, which reopened on September 1, is offering travelers the chance to switch up their work from home routine by setting up office at this hideaway in the Baa atoll UNESCO biosphere reserve for up to 21 days.

Could be a great idea for Thailand to follow with a genuine "digital nomad visa" and/or "work-from-home visa". There seems to be a number of people that would just love that, and also contribute to the economy by spending foreign money in the country. They might also not mind a "two plus one week quarantine", as they would probably all be long-stayers...

those that have $23,000++/week are NOT digital nomads ????

Stuck on an island with no one except a few tourists to socialise with. No choice of food except the restaurant on the island. No socialising with the locals. Unless you are crazy about diving it would probably be the most boring place on earth to be.

As if remote workers and digital nomads have $25000 per week to spend on accommodation...but I'm sure the complimentary laundry makes it all worthwhile...

Did they consult with the experts at the TAT to set this one up?

If you're ex CIA of special forces you likely get a discount...
