nickcar
The last few days we have discovered a 6 m long python with diameter of at least 6 inches living in 100 year old tamarind tree close to our house. It’s big enough to be a danger to people as well as my dogs. Does anybody have any suggestions of how to persuade it to go away. cheers Nick
Popular Post CorpusChristie
There are usually local snake rescue teams , try contacting them to get them to come and collect it.
Halfaboy
You can protect your house / garden by making a small fire. The snake will be scared for this. But this is only a temporary solution untill above team has been around.

Popular Post Crossy
Go to your village office, they will have the number of the local snake/monitor/bee/other creatures wrangler. He will come and remove Monty for a small fee. Do NOT try and remove him yourself, they may not be venomous but pythons have a mouth full of very sharp teeth.

Bender Rodriguez
you don't have a "garden" tool to get rid of it forever ? those snake "catchers", release it somewhere else, or even NEAR where you live, so they can come back 4

Popular Post DaLa
If you can speak a bit of Thai you could always try reasoning with it. You know, try to appeal to its better nature. We found 2 cobras at the back of our shop yesterday. I'm going to give it a try. Wish me luck.....and goodbye everyone. 1

Lacessit
If it wasn't bothering me, I'd leave it where it is. Will do a terrific job on rats and mice. See if you can persuade it to add soi dogs to the menu. 1

They help control rats and a big one like that would make an excellent pet. Just need to provide it with some food once a week. Tether a chicken to a post and let the snake have that, although if it's getting fed chickens by you it won't want to go and hunt rats, but you will have a gorgeous pet. I had a Burmese rock python as a pet back in 1989, only grew to about 36" though and sadly died from an infected bite from a small rat (his last meal).

smutcakes
I very much doubt it is 6m, as that would be very very rare in Thailand, and although the photo is not clear it looks pretty thin. If its anything above a couple of meters they are far to strong and dangerous for anyone but experienced snake handlers to deal with. Would love to see some photos of it in daylight?
