It will then hit the North and Northeast of Thailand over the weekend, and further strengthen with southwest monsoon winds across the Andaman Sea. Popular Post khunphil
Wow nice ... but ... where does this picture of perfectly formed typhoon is from ... Typhoon Noul from 2005 maybe ... but not the one we are following ... This kind of eyes is implicit of much more than 80km wing force ! This is what it looks like now, courtesy of Kochi University. Phil. PS : and this is not a CAT3 or CAT5 typhoon, but a tropical storm, moving closely but surely to a Cat1 Typhoon maybe in north Vietnam. 7 1

Popular Post Captain_Bob
The word "typhoon" doesn't apply here. It's a tropical storm which will be reduced to a depression by the time it reaches north Thailand. https://www.wunderground.com/hurricane/western-pacific/2020/tropical-storm-noul 1 1 2
Popular Post DrTuner
Send it to Pattaya. Mabrachan still at 30% capacity and municipal water is like a little boy peeing. It'll probably be a light breeze and couple of clouds, no rain. 2 1

Current prediction is it won't develop beyond a tropical storm. Still worth bringing the washing in, but maybe not battening down the shutters. (The photo used in the article has zero relevance, they've just cut n pasted a hurricane Katrina photo) Edited September 17, 2020 by Stocky 2 1

Ventusky has great graphics but its not very accurate due to the "modelling" they use, not as pretty but far more accurate is https://www.windy.com/-Rain-thunder-rain?rain,17.382,102.799,11 , they also have it heading my way so best start tying stuff down! We need the rain!
