The Thai Chamber of Commerce Confidence Index for August saw its first rise in 12 month, moving up to 32.6, from 31.8 in July, said Thanawat Polvichai, the director of the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce's Centre for Economic and Business Forecasting.

Mains water supply outages to affect Patong, Karon for a week

The outages are to last a whole week.

 

PHUKET: The Phuket Provincial Waterworks Authority (PWA) has announced that the mains water supply to parts of Patong and Karon will be affected from Sept 19-27 as repairs are made to a mains pipe connected to the RO (reverse-osmosis) plant north of Karon Beach.

High-pressure washers to become controlled item in Thailand after one electrocutes user

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand on Friday reported its first coronavirus death in more than 100 days, a health official said, after an infected Thai citizen had returned from abroad earlier this month.

Storm Noul expected to be downgraded to tropical depression as it heads towards Mukdahan

The category 3 tropical storm "Noul" was centred about 200km east of Mukdahan in the Northeast of Thailand, at a latitude 16.3 degrees north, longitude 106.8 degrees east, with sustained winds of 75kph, and was expected to hit the Thai province in the afternoon.
