Two foreigners among seven new Covid-19 cases in quarantine

The Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) reported seven new cases over a 24-hour period on Friday (September 18), including a Thai man who was infected for a second time.

 

The new cases included two foreigners.

 

A 42-year-old Bangladeshi man travelled from his country on September 2 and tested positive on the second test at an alternative state quarantine hotel in Bangkok on September 15.

 

A 10-year-old Pakistani boy, who had travelled from his country on September 13, was found positive on September 16.

 

Three Thai returnees from Saudi Arabia --- two female students aged 9 and 14, and a 61-year-old man --- tested positive in state quarantine in Bangkok. They had a runny nose and had lost their sense of smell.

 

A 41-year-old Thai man returned from Qatar on September 13 (one passenger was earlier found to be infected on the same flight) and was found positive on September 16 in state quarantine in Chonburi province.

 

Meanwhile, a 50-year-old Thai man who had travelled from Saudi Arabia on September 5 and was in state quarantine in Bangkok, was found positive after the second test on September 16. He had been previously infected with Covid-19 in July.

 

Meanwhile, three patients recovered and were discharged from hospital.

 

The total number of confirmed cases in Thailand increased to 3,497 (559 in state quarantine), of whom 111 are in hospital and 3,328 have recovered and been discharged, while the death toll remains 58.

 

According to Worldometer, as of 10 am on Friday, the total number of confirmed global cases increased to 30.34 million (increasing by 316,058 over a 24-hour period), 22 million have recovered, 61,143 are in serious condition and 950,545 have died.

 

Thailand is 130th for most cases in the world, while the US has the most number with 6.87 million, followed by India 5.21 million, Brazil 4.45 million, Russia 1.08 million and Peru 750,098

Usually a headline would state the highest percentage of whatever is being reported....yet again Foreigners singled out even though more Thais were found infected......stop stoking the Xenophobia...even the Red Cross today reported Xenophobia is becoming prevelent in Asia....This headline hardly helps matters.

So the 200,000 Americans who have died so far (and the 400,000 who will have died by early 2021) are just Darwinian chaff? If they had not turned blue from Covid, then, because of their pre-existing conditions, they would have (or should have?) jumped from the cliff without the virus nudge? 

200,000 have died despite partial, imperfect social distancing. The herd "mentality" approach which Agent Orange promotes (after apparently abandoning his "bleach injection therapy" suggestion) would lead to >2 million if all social distancing and mask recommendation would be abandoned.

The excess mortality in 20Q2 rose and fell with the degree of social distancing measures. Was there a secret other pandemic instead of the "harmless" Covid-19?

Number of US excess deaths. The excess mortality in 20Q2 was despite the imperfect social distancing measures. The spike in April results from infections that had happened by mid-March before most distancing measures. Without them, the weekly deaths would have stayed close to 80,000 instead of the pre-Covid rate of less than 60,000.

 

Of course, you can claim that the CDC belongs to the "Deep State"; and is in the same global conspiray with all other governments and health agencies.

And is that a satisfying conclusion? "There, we showed it to the scare-mongers and scientific egg heads!"

 

What do we do: stop doing all research for any vaccine immediately, even for something like seasonal flu vaccines?

Or better find out if that man has been infected with 2 different strains of Covid-19?

Or, as in other cases in recent months, investigate whether his cells still contained inactive, "dead" virus fragments which the test flagged? Then better tests would be useful.

It´s still mind-boggling to me that a global pandemic has become a symbol of tribal identity, apparently globally. If you have (far-)right political leanings, you have to condemn masks, social distancing, vaccines as conspiracies of the deep state, the world government and jack-booted goons in black helicopters, to demonstrate your far-right bona fides to your tribal members?

Ok so not much risk of dying if healthy and under 60.  But lots of indications of lasting health effects such as heart damage.  Head of US CDC stated that mask usage may be more helpful than the vaccines will be.  He also stated that if Americans wore masks for 6-12 weeks the virus would be under control in the US.  But you can't believe how ignorant people are around these parts.   Wearing aask for these old timer mormons is admitting science  and the far left are right.  And yiu know science and evolutionary ideas,  big bang theory isn't kind to most religions

World Health Organization Director-General Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus does not have any medical expertise either, none at all!!!!!!!

And what about Bill Gates - does he?  No!!!!!!!!

No doubt you do too, and so many others on this forum and elsewhere, that is why the whole world is in a total mess and people are dying of hunger, homelessness, and suicide.  For instance, suicide in Thailand is unbelievably high (already discussed on ThaiVisa a couple of months ago), and what about the road deaths - oh, but 58 deaths due to a flu (if it is true!) is very serious isn't it.

 

I'm disgusted by governments and big businesses worldwide who are raking in the money due to this scam and taking advantage of the ignorant.

 

I have researched and collected a whole load of official documents to back what I say, but people are too lazy to read or research and prefer to believe all the propaganda and lies.  Good luck to you all because this is just the beginning and much worse is to come.

1) The Covid death rates are low ("only" 954,000 deaths as of today) because there have been only 30M infections.

2) There have been only 30M infections because the whole world implemented social distancing rules, from temporary lockdowns to masks. Neither heart disease nor dementia propagate at exponential speed like an airborn virus does. Not even Fox News-induced dementia or rage strokes do. #

In April 2020, excess mortality in the US was 1/4 higher than in preceding months. The April deaths were caused by infections in March, before social distancing rules were followed. Without restrictions, Covid-19 would have filled one quarter of the pie chart, same as cancers and heart disease. If, on the other hand, everyone had worn a frigging mask since April, it would probably be over by now because enough chains of infections would have been interrupted, even if masks do not provide 100% safety. 

 

The fatality rate is 954k / 30M = 3.1% so far.

Herd "mentality", to cite the Great Orange Leader of the Free World, would require that >50% of the world population gets infected. At 3%, that would be 117M dead bodies, twice the WWII casualties. Or, if your stance is that just those with pre-existing conditions die off, in a proper Darwinian way, then the fatality rate in 2021 will perhaps decrease to just 1%. That would lead to just 40M deaths, like the Spanish Flu in 1918. No biggie, right?
