geovalin Posted September 21, 2020 Share Posted September 21, 2020 Heavy storms continue to cause devastation to the Kingdom’s coastal provinces, with resulting floods claiming at least five lives and dealing extensive damage in the region. Preah Sihanouk Provincial Hall spokesman Kheang Phearum said that the most serious flooding has been seen in Prey Nop, Stung Hav and Sihanoukville. Phearum said among the three districts, Prey Nop had been hit hardest by the storms so far. According to a Provincial Administration report, 11 out of the 14 communes in Prey Nop had been hit by severe flooding. It said that floods had damaged 1,955 houses, a total of 7,170 metres of road and affected at least 7,954 people.
