webfact Posted September 21, 2020 Share Posted September 21, 2020 27 provinces worst affected by storm 'Noul' By The Nation Twenty-seven provinces were hit by tropical storm "Noul" last week, the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation said on Sunday. The report published on Sunday at 6pm stated that the storm, together with the influence of the southwest monsoon from the Andaman, had triggered flash floods, storms and landslides from September 18-20. The 27 provinces affected by “Noul” are: Lampang, Lamphun, Tak, Phetchabun, Loei, Udon Thani, Khon Kaen, Chaiyaphum, Mukdahan, Ubon Ratchathani, Roi Et, Maha Sarakham, Surin, Buriram, Si Sa Ket, Nakhon Ratchasima, Lopburi, Prachinburi, Chanthaburi, Trat, Chumphon, Ranong, Phang Nga, Phuket, Krabi, Trang and Satun. At least 1,929 households faced repercussions from the storm, one victim in Rayong was killed by a falling tree and two were injured in Phetchabun also from falling trees. As of Sunday, 19 provinces faced massive flooding. They were: Lampang, Tak, Phetchabun, Loei, Khon Kaen, Chaiyaphum, Mukdahan, Ubon Ratchathani, Surin, Buriram, Sisaket, Nakhon Ratchasima, Lopburi, Prachinburi, Chanthaburi, Trat, Chumphon, Ranong and Phang-nga. There are no reports of any deaths. Our province Lopburi was on the list to my knowledge no massive flooding, we had 73 mm of rain all that did was to make the ground a bit wet for a few days ,been so dry the land just soaked it up like a sponge .
