if on amnesty and leaving on 27th Sept

An overstay of a single day may produce a stamp in the passport but no fine is applied. It may be a problem for a future Elite Visa application, but of little other consequence. I would hope they would not even bother in these times.

I think that 3 days or more is a no go if applying for it. Not just 1 day though.

There is a 24-hour grace period when departing from the main airports.  The amnesty ends midnight on the 26th and provided your finish with immigration by the midnight of 27th, all should be fine.

My flight is 2:00 a.m. on the 28th

So its not sure right that its fine right...

My mate checked in at 11pm but because his flight left after midnight charged 500 Bht

Petty,,,,,,, but no record stamped in PP

I bet he had no receipt either!

I expect that the officer had velcro on the flap of his shirt pocket - less hassle to open it and slip the note in...
