The government gazette announced on its website that anyone selling goods or services online must display full details to the customer.

In particular they must mention the price of those goods and services in full at the source of the advertisement.

This applies to such platforms as Facebook, Instagram, Line or websites.

Violators can be fined 10,000 baht for failing to do so.

And those that inform the authorities about malpractice can get 25% of the fine or 2,500 baht for their trouble.

All details of goods and services must be displayed in Thai and other languages where appropriate. Arabic numerals must always be used, not just Thai numerals.
