Not at all, it’s a chronic obsession amongst some in US politics, though it’s not certain if the offense so long ruminated on is due to the loss of the refineries or the Cubans having the temerity to spend the income they generate on providing universal healthcare for Cubans.

lol. My  comment was intended as a jibe at the current state of political machinations which present as sadly detached from effective relevance to genuine concern as to social outcome versus opportunist advantage via distraction.

Cuba is less a victim of internal application of political ideology now than it is of the application of the  external imposition of subjugation for insult by rejection of dominance .

So sad  that a population which has  demonstrated an amazing resilience to dual oppressive influence must  continue to endure puerile subjectivity as ideological pawns.

"Communist" or  "Socialist" perceptions  are  resurfacing as a fearful perception propagated  by that percentage of global influencers who have  manouvered positions under the concepts  of  "democratic"

legitimacy while  manipulating, distorting, ensuring as much as  possible dominant positions.

IMO  Trump is  now  allowing his advisors  to  resort to scraping the  barrel to find  issues to appeal to the  deception of  the  superior "democracy" he and his simpering entourage desire to "sell"  to the people of the Middle  America voters. (  I avoid the  term United States because it is  demonstrably not!  )

Red's  under the  bed?

If people were allowed  to  inspect and challenge the imposition  of  regimes and  "law" there  exists  little now of anything  other than imposition based on monetary advantage or ascription to that which it  empowers.

A historical process which  has only  changed  in terms of  global  volume of impact.
