Photo: PR Dept / file PHUKET: Officials have been assigned to organise traffic police and medical teams to prepare for the upcoming Phuket Vegetarian Festival, to be held Oct 17-25. Street processions are still permitted this year, but some of the main ceremonies have been banned, it was explained at a meeting at Provincial Hall yesterday (Sept 23). Phuket Vice Governor Wongsakorn Nunchukan explained that the Phuket government will coordinate with shrine administrators in order to carry on the annual festival in line with the ‘new normal’ protocols.
