This is a set up question made to create that headline.  Here is the video of the actual exchange.  He did not say he would not peacefully transfer but he deflected the fact that there would be a transfer of power.

Words are what this man deals in. The fact he said he wouldn't agree to the transfer of power, while at the same time gathering attorneys to fight election results AND spewing lies to delegitimize the entire election process - how anyone can defend this man speaks volumes about them.

The Democrats accepted the election results. If you have trouble with that, notice that Obama is no longer in the WH. Other than in Trump supporters' minds, election results were acknowledged and accepted. Trump was being baited with that question.  He has already gone on record multiple times saying he would return to private life and do other things if he lost.  Now if he was Ronald Reagan and had his quick wit, what he should have said was OF COURSE I WILL MAKE IT A PEACEFUL TRANSITION. AFTER ALL FOLLOWING MY SECOND TERM THE CONSTITUTION SAYS I CAN'T RUN AGAIN.

Trump started repeating, against all evidence, that the election will be fixed and the results a fraud.  Democrats anticipate Trump legal challenges against a result he doesn't like and hire lawyers to prepare.  Trump continues nonsensical rants about fraud and his supporters cry "OMG, lawyers!"  Farcical really.

 

Unsolicited ballots don't cause election fraud.  The checks against fraud begin when a completed ballot is received.
